... rented a nissan 350z... yeah, that's right. a 350z. what a sweet car. if
it wasn't for the fact it only has 2 seats, i'd seriously consider ponying up for that car. it looks so amazing,
it's wicked fast (yet another personal land speed record - 260km/h), and the trunk is quite usable... i fit 2
guitar cases in there plus room to spare!
... saw the bourne supremacy, the sequel to
that underrated hit, the bourne identity... i
didn't think it was as good as the first one, but that's not saying much, cuz it would've been really tough to
top the first one. good entertainment though...
... went for chinese food in maastricht with a whole bunch o' people, but we didn't go to wen chow this time...
checked out another restaurant, yong kee, on the recommendation of jerry chan, a coworker from singapore... it
was pretty good, though i'm not sure it's better than wen chow. jason and i invited a whole slew of ppl to come
along... vera, yvonne, jose, mark, sophie, barbara, christof, iris, thomas, marta, alexandro... yeah, 13 ppl in
total. then we walked around and hung out at a bar there for a bit before heading back to aachen and chilling
out some more at sowieso...
... have been practicing for the next worship night we're having at ibc
this sunday... annette, markus and elizabeth are also involved this time around, and we've got a good lineup of
songs, none of which are actually new, but they're new to most ppl here, so... should be good
though. i've invited some other ppl too, from the aachen and düsseldorf smd
groups...
... have thought about redesigning the site and switching my blogging system over to something like
movable type or wordpress... but i
can't get over the fact that with blogger, i can blog from any browser...
anyone know if that's possible with movable type or anything else like that?
... have been pretty busy otherwise, with spanish classes, working out, just hanging out with friends and such...
it's been good, though it's a bit odd now that chris isn't around... he's somewhere in namibia right now, on his
african overland tour... lucky bum.

alemannia! due to their runner-up
finish in last year's dfb cup (the german
equivalent to england's fa cup), aachen's football team,
alemannia aachen, is now playing in the
uefa cup competition (one level down from the
champions league)...
ok, it's also partially because the winner of the dfb cup, werder
bremen, automatically gets into the uefa cup competition... but since bremen is already in the champions
league, the runner-up enters instead... hence, alemannia is playing against some of europe's best teams!
and it was pure deadliness cuz aachen won the first round away match against hafnarfjördur (can anyone pronounce
that?), a team from iceland, by a score of 5-1... they kinda slacked off in the second half, allowing
hafnarfjördur to score their solitary goal, but still pretty dominating...
anyhoo, forgot about a couple things in my past-2-weeks post from

... booked a flight to singapore from hk on valuair, to visit janine and
emily... i hope i have time to travel up to kuala lumpur to visit nigel too, but we'll see how that goes...
... started using this awesome voice-over-ip program called skype... i had
heard of it way long ago, but my experience with other programs left a lot to be desired... and skype's not
perfect, cuz it's performance connecting to regular landlines isn't so hot, but straight-up skype-to-skype is
nothing short of amazing. crystal clear, no delay, and best of all, free... the future of voice communications
is here. get it and we can talk!
... switched over to mozilla firefox as my personal browser. it's light on
the system, fast, uses tabs, blocks pop-ups... sweet. a couple nagging issues, like not supporting the
google toolbar or
espn motion, make me stop
from completely switching, but it still looks promising...

ha, think i'd let this month expire without posting any pics? not likely... actually, i was helped a bit by
having a couple days at home, cuz i've got the flu... but before i start, just gotta clarify... i didn't actually
get that nikon d2x, but i
will see it this weekend, when i go to photokina, the world's biggest
photographic industry exhibition, and it's in köln! deadly...

other pics i got from that night out in maastricht for chinese food

charlotte came to visit the same weekend as the ibc summer camp this
year, so that's why vicky didn't go to that... pics of those also on the way, i might add... but they came to the
sunday service, since we had it at the campsite. it wasn't that far anyways, just in some remote park in köln...
anyways, so that's where i met charlotte and then we chilled a bit with jens and wilson for some persian-style
lunch...

now, for the life of me, i can't remember what the reason was, but after lunch, charlotte, vicky and i chilled
out a bit more at starbucks, before they had to go home... vicky was
meeting with some friends, and i just can't remember what i had to do... oh wait, i went to hasselt and saw a
movie... i think it was king arthur... yeah, i'm pretty
sure it was...

well, i ended up driving back to köln, to pick up angie, but i also met up again with charlotte and vicky, and
there i met some of vicky's friends and we went to chill at the irish pub in the altstadt...
there was louisa, another english teacher from england, and then some other friends whose name i just don't
recall now... that's where these pics were taken, and where charlotte insisted i send them to her... ok, charlie,

phantasia land, so there's lots to come... plus some recaps of the
past couple weeks, including thomas leaving for america, angie finishing her thesis and her impending move to
