4.30.2005 we got a live one here!
yo, supsup? i'm quite amazed how easy it is not to update this site... there were a couple times where
i thought, i really ought to write something... but alas, nothing ever really spurs me except the end
of a calendar month. a shame, isn't it?
so i won't bore you with many details, but lemme just run through what's been going down in my neck o'
the woods since the last update:
- madrid was awesome. i'll post up pics eventually. jose's got a great flat with cool roomies (and a couple hotties too, woot!), and the city may just be the best place to go out to party. the city doesn't seem to sleep... i mean, jose and i made our way back at 5am on a friday night (sat. morning) and we were one of the first ones to be leaving... met up with barbara and yoli as well, but mark and patricia couldn't make it (the former was sick like a dog, the latter's ride bailed on her)... barbara's family is super cool too... definitely gotta go back sometime...
- easter weekend was spent at a cfo (camp farthest out) camp, where we had a lot of ibc'ers, and a few other ppl i didn't know before... pastor luis from peru was one of the speakers and his testimony is just so awesome... another cool thing was that the whole camp was translated into english, german and spanish... multilingual, baby!
- jason came back to visit for about a week... it was good to see him again. we caught up a bit, chilled with herr franziskaner, had a good time. then he went back to montreal... seems to like it there, cuz he was trying to negotiate an extension of his short-term contract... dunno if he ever got it...
- it was like christmas in april, cuz jason also brought with him a brand-spanking-new, silver, 6gb ipod mini, that i asked him to get while he was in nyc... this baby is sweet! i have it on me 24/7 now. re-ripping all my cds and i've discovered allofmp3.com, which is killing me cuz it's legal mp3's (at least not illegal in russia)... and hdd space is getting to be an issue again... <sigh>
- it's been so long since i've posted, both my profs have sent back their references for my master's applications! hahaha... well, they actually have, and i've finished all but one of the applications now... so it's just a matter of time now before i hear whether or not i'm still here after august... aiya, butterflies!
- spent last weekend at the smd retreat, with the aachen and düsseldorf groups... great time had by all, as usual, and pics will be forthcoming... i also got to see meike again, probably for the last time in a while, since she's going down to south africa tomorrow for something like 5 or 6 months...
- maxima is coming to visit in less than a week! ok, actually, he's not coming here directly... him and allan are flying into paris where i'm picking them up in a rented car and then we're driving down to aix-en-provence via lyon, to visit stefanie... road trip! grace is coming over from toulouse to hang out as well... should be gt's.
- official wongoz.com best friend, matt, is coming to the u2 concert in dublin with me! sweet! so now the party is set... host breda and her roomie elaine, matt and myself... bring it on!
- also got time off in mid-july so i'm going back to spain and doing what i've always wanted to do... la fiesta de san fermin! woohoo! gonna hook up a couple days in pamplona, then maybe check out bilbao, and then finally off to gijón to see patricia, since we didn't get to meet up in madrid... i can't wait!
- actually, the best indication of how long it's been since i last posted is that chris is back... yeah, that chris. crazy eh? he finished off his world trip in new zealand and a couple days in los angeles and london before flying back last sunday... it's nice to have him back, though that saying rings true... the more things change, the more they stay the same...
anyways, that's all i can think of... i'll post more at some point... heh, yeah right. who knows when
that'll be... aight, i'm off to karoline's and dalia's combined bday party, for which i'm late
already...
